Hi, I'm Glenn Morrison, an experienced writer, journalist, editor and researcher, freelancing as The Word Dr.

Originally qualified in civil engineering and environmental science I later turned to journalism, first as a reporter then newspaper editor, broadcast producer and columnist.

What I learned in media sparked a variety of professional, journalistic and creative writing projects.

Some 25 years on, I've undertaken writing and editing in most fields and at senior levels in the media, non-profit, corporate, government, research and Indigenous sectors.

Now I help clients from diverse spheres to bridge disciplinary and intercultural divides in their writing.

After earning a PhD in 2015, I wrote and edited several books, lectured at universities, and started The Word Dr in 2021.
